About

Hello Wild Thing! My name is Savanna, and I am so excited to bring you along my journey to health and wellness. I am a beginner blogger, so bear with me while I figure this out 😂

Well, I am going to jump right in with some honesty.. I have struggled with maintaining a healthy day-to-day for pretty much my whole life. I do remember my parents pushing for healthier eating habits and more time spent playing outside, but most of my family and the adults around me were unhealthy. This is not to blame my current habits on anyone else. I am an adult and take responsibility for my poor choices. What I saw around me growing up definitely created some not great habits that have been hard to break.

One of my biggest struggles has been my weight, followed by my mental health. In my journey to find a way to manage both of these, I came across herbalism. Plus, my dad got really into it, buying books about holistic wellness. (And I may or may not have most of his personal library at my own house LOL). As I read and researched, I found myself being pulled to it. Like this was something I was supposed to be doing. I felt my “calling” – yuck lol I hate when people say that, but it really is how I felt! But, I knew in my heart and soul that holistic wellness and herbalism was going to be a huge part of my life.

I did start an online holistic wellness business about a year ago. I specialize in herbal tea blends for both the avid tea lover and those hoping to find healing with herbs! There is also a cute little shopping cart link at the top of this blog site to take you to the product site, but you can also just visit:

This is what brings me here, to this blog. I don’t really see myself as much of a writer, but part of this calling I have experienced is me sharing my findings with others! So, I am creating this site, with intentions of filling it with education, information, recipes, tips, tricks, and so much more.

I do want to add a disclaimer though – I am NOT a doctor! And while I have a goal set to one day be a clinical herbalist, I am nowhere near that goal right now. I only aim to share things I learn in hopes I might bring an herbal spark to someone else. Please always do your own research and consult with a physician or experienced clinical herbalist before starting any herbal products. Herbs are an amazing, more natural way of healing and supporting your body, but they aren’t without caveats. There can be allergic reactions, medication interactions, and more. This is why it is so important to really do your research before adding anything to your daily regimen.

Also, just a cute little side note, let me tell you how “Wild Thing” came about. I have always been a music lover, but unfortunately my taste in music has not always been great 😂. Luckily, I have found myself more and more in love with music from before my time. A song I came across when a local band played a cover gained a whole new meaning when I introduced it to my niece. From the time she was old enough to hold her head up, I would dance around the house with her singing Wild Thing by The Troggs. And now that she is 5, it makes me ever so happy to hear her sweet little voice say “Alexa, play Wild Thing” and her adorable giggle as the opening notes sound and she starts to dance around the room ❤️.

I guess this concludes my introduction. I hope you enjoyed learning a little about this newbie writer! I look forward to seeing you back for new posts.
